I am a retired laboratory biologist with a love for science. I am also a musician and singer, so I love rhythm and fun! Believe it or not, my second career as a writer of science-based children's books was started because of a meeting with a curly-tail lizard on a beach in The Bahamas. Yes, that is true! And now I have over 25 books in print, and others in the making. I'm finding this a very satisfactory and rewarding second career. I hope to inspire children to consider careers in science--there are so many interesting fields to choose from and science is an area where they can really make a difference.
